Sustainable New Years Resolutions Bookmarks!
We are giving out lists of things that you can do to have a more sustainable Winter Quarter! Just look at the list of sustainable resolutions on your bookmark, accomplish the sustainable task, and check it off the list! While you are in class or studying, use the list as a bookmark! When you are done, turn in the completed bookmark to the SRC (Kerckhoff 160) and redeem a sustainable prize!

E3, USAC SWC and ASUCLA are proud to present the Farmers Market at UCLA! Stop by the market in Bruin Plaza on Wednesday, January 14th (Week 2) to support local and responsible farmers in the most delicious and healthy way possible!

Expect to see some delicious seasonal produce, nut products and dried fruits. E3 will also selling reusable bags for $1 and collecting e-waste for recycling.

Learn about this amazing film festival that will take place during Earth Week 2015 (April 21-24)!  The film festival was created by students and is run entirely by students at UCLA, and we are excited to put on the festival again this year!

A special Strategic Task Force on Environment and Sustainability was assembled to examine today's difficult environmental problems. The task force has produced a draft of a report "to offer recommendations about how to better organize, promote and advance the Campus’s various contributions in this realm." In order to proceed, they are requesting input from a variety of stakeholders, including graduate students

We are in the process of identifying some recommendations that we think would be beneficial and feasible to pursue. Then, we will take the lead in seeking graduate student input and providing feedback to the task force. In the meantime, you can take a look at the entire draft report

Have you tried a CSA Box Yet?

Who: Anyone can order!
What: A variety of fresh, local, organic produce boxes delivered right to campus (CSA = Community Supported Agriculture!)

When/Where: Pick-up on Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4:30pm in the SRC Office (160 Kerckhoff).

How much: $22 for a full box (9 to 12 items) or $17 for a mini box (7 to 9 items.) No commitment required - you can choose to order one box at a time or sign up for an entire month. Students receive a $3 discount off the full box when they submit their student id number - just email a copy of your Bruincard and receive a discount code!

How: Visit:

Choose a box option (one-time (weekly), monthly or season)

Select a Pick up location (SRC-Kerckhoff or one of the other convenient locations on campus(pickup times may vary depending on location)

Choose a payment option. Enter billing information, shipping information (we will not ship, just a formality), and payment (Paypal)

Place your order by 5 PM on Monday to receive your box by Wednesday.

UCLA's 2nd Annual Environmental Film Festival, Coming this Spring!

UPDATE: First Green Screen's meeting will happen on

Anyone interested is invited! 

UCLA's very first graduate student created and run Green Screens Film Festival was last year, and we are continuing the tradition again this year! We are currently looking for volunteers to to serve on the UCLA Environment Sustainability Film Festival Committee. We will need help with a variety of tasks. Being a part of an environmental film festival is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the film industry and environmental education, leave your mark on the UCLA campus, network and create some tangible change.
